 Has America gone mad?

Reports of attacks on members of Congress is outrageous. These people are taking things too far. There is bound to be injury if not death to someone for the simple fact that television commentators are encouraging people be be radical. Signs and t-shirts exemplify the words and slogans used on t.v. to encourage and incite violence. It is incredible that people are acting this way, with such vicious behavior. If you don't like America then move to another country! If you are unhappy with the political system then run for office and change it. It is absolutely ridiculous for people to turn violent over the healthcare issue, no matter how it may or may not affect you. Who is Glen Beck? Why is this idiot allowed on t.v.? Mainly for ratings. He is an entertainer. People like to get riled up about issues. I do not watch him but did listen to a brief commentary about him and a small clip of his show. Although I do recall listening in on part of his miserable show one time but his nonsense is just that nonsense. The rambling on of Revolution in America, are you kidding me? Unfortunately, no. All these Republican supported people and groups, where do they want the country to be? The Governor of Texas wants to leave the Union and now talk from right-wing commentators calling for a revolution, well it's enough to drive the country mad.

A Republican wins in Massachusetts, is it doom and gloom for Democrats?

The lead story for news organizations today, besides the devastation in Haiti and the killing of eight people in the state of Virginia, is that a Republican has won the senate seat once head by Ted Kennedy. You would think that Ted Kennedy was the first person to ever hold this seat. But the topic is all about the gloom and doom of the Democratic party, which still holds a large majority in both the House and the Senate. But what matters most is that it could be the end of healthcare reform. The current bill passed by the Senate does not make everyone happy but it is still shocking that after eight years in charge the Republicans would have a leg to stand on. They did nothing during the years George W. was President and now they want to continue business as is. And why not. each of them and their families are covered by insurance since the Senators and Congressional members are "employees" of the government. Why should they care about the voters, the average American struggling to pay their bills or those who live pay check to pay check. What amuses us the most is the great tax credit Republicans like to dish out to help cover the cost of healthcare. The trick is most Americans who cannot afford insurance don't need a tax cut because they have NO MONEY to pay the insurance costs to get the special tax cut. It appears having no money is a difficult concept for the Republican party to understand. Stay tuned.
